The groove cutting machine is an electric-driven system designed for cutting grooves on medium and large diameter carbon steel and stainless-steel pipes with heavy wall thickness. During operation, it clamps and rotates the pipe at a constant speed. A high-strength cutting tool then removes material directly from the outer pipe surface to form the groove effectively. It supports pipe sizes from 2" to 32", and is suitable for grooving operations on pipes with SCH40 or heavier wall thickness. The groove cutter is widely used in fire protection systems and municipal water pipeline installations.
The cutting process maintains a smooth internal pipe surface without creating internal protrusions, which protects the internal coatings where required. A controlled grooving is achieved by the system with hydraulic clamping, manual feed, and cutting blade operation. It is suitable for both heavy-duty workshop production and on-site applications.
